2006 Christmas Party

The 2006 Temps Christmas Party was held on Friday 8th December in Edwards Wine Bar in Wimbledon. Have a look at what happened!

We would like to pass on our thanks and best wishes to Janis who has just accepted a permanent role at the company where she has been temping through us forever..... (well, since March 2005!!!) 'Happy Anniversary' to Laurence Bound who will have been in his booking for a year on 7th February 2006! Laurence took his booking initially for a few weeks and twelve months later he is still there going strong! We would also like to say thanks Laurence for being such a loyal and reliable worker and for always getting your timesheets in on time without ever needing to be chased - it is very much appreciated.

In order to celebrate Australia Day on Thursday 26th Jan, we were asked to supply a temporary Koala Bear (yes, seriously)!! Now we have had some interesting bookings over the years but this certainly was a challenge! Determined to find a Koala Bear to carry out PR duties for our client, we approached John (fresh off the plane from Melbourne!!) who was completely game for a laugh and happily agreed to don the fluffy attire and help celebrate the day. His first port of call was a photo shoot with Christian O'Connell, the new breakfast show host at Virgin Radio Station, followed by delivering hampers to various clients around London. 2005 Christmas Party

We are all really sorry to be saying goodbye to Renate Struck as she reaches the end of her Visa and leaves these sunny shores to head home to South Africa. Renate began temping via Prize Placements in September 2002 and has been an outstanding temp over the last three+ years. She has been incredibly reliable, hardworking and often dropped what she was doing to fill in bookings at very short notice. She has been requested back by clients on several occasions who have been so impressed with her fantastic work ethic - she has also never needed chasing for a timesheet! Good luck with whatever you choose to do Renate and a big thank you from the team here - we shall all miss you.

Congratulations to one of our long term temps Janis who took part in her company's very own 'X Factor' competition and won! She sang a fantastic rendition of 'Amazing Grace' and bowled everyone over to walk away with the first prize. Well done Janis - we shall expect you to take the stage at our Christmas Party…!

A fond farewell goes out to Clare Murphy who has been temping through us since February 2004 as she now leaves to travel and head home to Australia. Clare has been a truly fantastic temp and we shall all miss her but want to extend a huge thank you for everything she has done during the past 21 months - in all her time working for us she has never had to be chased for a timesheet much to Suzanne's delight! All the best for the future Clare from everyone here.
